Why I built this: Built to create a polished digital version of Set-style gameplay that worked well both solo and across multiple devices, while exploring cloud sync and richer browser game interaction.
Overview
Set Solitaire is a responsive browser game inspired by the Set card game, built as a PWA with both solo and multiplayer play. The project focused on turning a pattern-based card game into a polished interactive web experience with support for different play styles and devices.
The app includes Firebase-backed cloud synchronization, save/load support, hint systems, themes, and custom SVG card rendering with alternate visual styles. It was also one of the earliest larger projects developed with substantial AI assistance, using ChatGPT 3.5 and GPT-4 to accelerate implementation and iteration.
