Why I built this: Built to make it easy to compare one phrase across many target languages in a single lightweight browser workflow.
Overview
Polyglot is a responsive browser-based translation tool built as a PWA. It allows a user to enter one phrase, select multiple target languages, and view all translated results side by side for quick comparison and reference.
The project focuses on a practical multilingual workflow rather than a one-language-at-a-time interface. Built with Next.js and the Google Translate API, it provides a lightweight way to compare phrasing across many languages in a single view.
Features
- Translate one phrase into many target languages
- Side-by-side parallel output for easy comparison
- Multi-select language workflow
- Responsive browser-based interface
